He was predeceased by: his parents, Belmira Correia Lopes and Francisco Lopes; his former wife Helen Stinziano Lopes; his brothers, Robert Lopes and Frank Lopes, Jr.; his stepson David Dupons; and his parents-in-law, Norma Stinziano, Margaret Rioux and Pasquale Stinziano.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Dupons Lopes; his daughters, Patricia Earnest (Rick Lundregan) and Joanne Powell (Rice); his sister Carolyn Alves (David Woodworth); his children, Scott Dupons (late Cynthia) and Heidi Stump (Stephen); his grandchildren, Morgan Earnest (Jennie), Kelli Lundregan, Ryan Lundregan, Hannah Powell (Colby Hufnagle), Sophie Powell, Katie Stump (Devin Basile) and James Stump (Chenoa); and his great grandchild Killian Stump.
