Anne D. Black Obituary
Formerly of Indianapolis and Fishers, Indiana, passed away suddenly on Sunday February 13, 2022 in her new hometown of Wauwatosa, WI. Anne was a strong advocate for the environment having worked for nearly 40 years for the state of Indiana.
Having divorced her husband, Lauren D. Black 11 in 1980, she raised her son Lauren111 and her daughter Kyle Anne Rechlicz in Indianapolis as a single mom. Anne was fiercely devoted to her children, always putting them first and was proud of their many accomplishments. She was a devoted friend, an avid wine aficionado and a beloved member of the New Hope Presbyterian Congregation in Fishers, Indiana prior to her move to Wisconsin.
Anne is survived by her children Lauren D.111 (Carissa) and Kyle Anne Rechlicz. Her greatest joy were her 5 wonderful grandchildren, Payton Rechlicz (16), Juliet (11), Andrew (9), Benjamin (5) and Audrey Black (2). Dear sister of David (Barbara), Mike (Jane) Black and Allison (Chris) McGuire. Dear daughter-in-law of Lauren D. Black. She was preceded in death by her ex-husband, Lauren "Larry" Black 11, her longtime partner, Roger Thompson, her parents, Shirley and Donald "Don" Detjen, her longtime mother-in-law Anne Black and her brother John Detjen.
A Memorial Service will be held at New Hope Presbyterian Church, 12550 Brooks School Rd. Fishers, Indiana on Sunday February 20, 2022 at 2PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to any National or Local Charity that works to preserve the natural environment she cared so much for.
