He was predeceased by: his parents, John Knust and Catherine Knust (Burke); his wife Leona Giesler; his grandson Jonathon Luebbehusena; and his siblings, Ernest Knust and Rita Begle.
He is survived by: his children, Kathleen Terwiske (Rolly) of Huntingburg, Jane Sitzman (Dave) of Ferdinand, Patricia Schroeder (Mel) of Ferdinand, Marilyn Steurer (Mike) of Jasper and Keith Knust (Sarah) of Frisco, TX.; and his siblings, Clarence Knust of Ferdinand, Joseph Knust of Jasper and Mary Krassick of Columbus, IN.. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Sisters of St. Benedict or Christ the King Parish.
