She is survived by: her parents, Paul Gessner and Anna Gessner (Moeller); her children, Frank Gessner (Marie) of Ferdinand, Allan Gessner (Bonnie) of Jasper, Mark Gessner (Joyce) of Celestine, Tony Gessner (Donna) of St. Meinrad, Carol Meyer (Bill) of Ferdinand, Martha Hempfling (Jerry) of Ferdinand, Paula Vonderheide (Tom) of Ferdinand, Marlene Gehlhausen (Roch) of Jasper and Clara Tempel (Lee Ray) of St. Meinrad; and her brother Edgar Oeding (Mildred) of Jasper. She is also survived by twenty-two grandchildren and thirty-four great-grandchildren.
