It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Grace M. Wilmes of Ferdinand, Indiana, who passed away on August 26, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Matheis and Mary Matheis (Brenner); her husband Joseph E. Wilmes; her daughter Peggy Wilmes; her grandson Jason Jerger; and her siblings, Beatrice Woodward, Virgil Matheis and Edgar Matheis.
She is survived by: her children, Karen Jerger (Keith) of Evansville, Glenn Wilmes (Brenda) of Ferdinand, Kurt Wilmes (Marya) of Ferdinand and Greg Wilmes (Kathy) of St. Anthony; and her sister Doris Metz (Clarence) of Jasper. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
