She was predeceased by: her husband Alfred Schaefer; and her siblings, Wilfred, Nestor Boehm, Edna Meunier and Maxine Waninger.
She is survived by: her children, Kent Schaefer (Lynne) of Ferdinand, Randall Schaefer (Doris) of St. Meinrad, Brian Schaefer of St. Meinrad, Janice Welp (Jeff) of St. Anthony and Diane Hoffman (Patrick) of St. Meinrad; and her sister Betty Hanselman (Larry) of Jasper. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren with two on the way and six step-great-grandchildren.
