She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Preston Gilliam and Hazel Gilliam (Williams); her former life partner John Gardiner (Bill); her brother Frank Gilliam; her husband Charles Messersmith; her children, Karicia Hobson (Andrew), Brent Gardiner (Stacey), Andrea Breedlove (Jason), Anson Messersmith (Audry) and PJ Messersmith (Lalena); her grandchildren, Kyle Gardiner (Heidi), Hannah Hobson, Anastasia Gardiner, Sarah Hobson, Ashton Messersmith, Silzarin Messersmith, James Messersmith and Kendall Breedlove; and her siblings, Carol Saunders (Merrill), James Gilliam (Pam) and David Gilliam (Karen).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, an organization that both Billie and Chuck had a passion to support.
