She is survived by: her grandchildren, Olivia Kimanzi and Josè "Alex" Colohua; her great grandchildren, Jahari Mayes, Walker Johnson and Jeremiah Kimanzi; her sister Debbie McCammon; her son-in-law Josè Colohua; and her pet Shawandee. She is also survived by her sisters.
