He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester P. Huffman and Helen Huffman (Webb); and his wife Joyce. He is survived by: his children, Austin L. Huffman of Fairmount, Brenda Huffman of Fairmount, Debra Carter (Stephen) of Marion and Sherry Retherford (David) of Huntington. He is also survived by five grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
