He is survived by: his siblings, Rebecca A. McDaniel (Monte) and Michael L. Cecil; his nieces, Halee D. Mathies (Mitchell) and Amanda A. McDaniel; his nephew Luke W. McDaniel; his great-nephew Maverick Mathies; and his friend Matt Abplanalp.
