He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert S. McKee and Margaret M. McKee (Hernly); his wife Barbara McKee (Johnson); his son Michael McKee; and his sister Phyllis Kendall.

He is survived by: his children, Mark McKee (Debbie) and Cheryl McKee; his son-in-law Danny Gonsalves; his grandchildren, Ray Parrott, Erika Geis (Justin) and Jessika McKee; and his great grandchild Asher Geis.
