She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Lonzo and Mildred Immageann England (Wilhelm); her former husband James Leroy Carter; her children, James "Bo" Carter and Connie Abner; and her brother Paul L. England.

She is survived by: her husband Marvin Mohr; her children, Jeannie Stewart (Anthony), Lee Young (Steve Hess) and Lonnie Carter (Cheryl); and her grandchildren, Shelley of Maranda, D. J., Tiffany and Derek. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
