She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Royal Meece and Ruth Meece (Combs); her daughters, Tammy Gilley of Fairland and Sonia Steffen (Blaine) of Greenwood, Indiana; her sisters, Willadean Luhn (John) of New Whiteland and Rosa Wood of Texas; her grandchildren, David Duggar, Daniel Duggar, Rachel Duggar, Michael Palmer, Matthew Palmer and Mariah Gilley; her husband Gordon Carlson; her siblings, Gerald Meece, Roy Gene Meece, Zelda Meece and Emma Jean Meece; and her son Gerald "Jerry" McNew. She was also cherished by her twelve great-grandchildren, and her great-great grandchild.
