She was predeceased by: her parents, George Borden and Mabel Borden (Curry); her foster parents, Roy Smith and Emma Smith; her children, Ronald Lee "Ronnie" Alexander, Teddy Ray Alexander and Beverly Jo Alexander; and her siblings, Frances, Lola Mary, Georgia Darlene and Merritt Borden.
She is survived by: her spouse Otis M. Alexander; and her children, Bob Alexander of Shelbyville, Jim Alexander (Janette) of Shelbyville, Maurice Alexander (Debra) of Fairland and Becky Treon of Shelbyville. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
