He is survived by: his spouse Linda Sue Kolter; his children, John H. Asher of Cincinnati, Joseph L. Asher (Gloria) of Greer, Jim Asher (Angela) of Indianapolis, Jerry Asher (Robin) of Kokomo, Jennifer Chastain (Bryan) of Manilla and Diana Madden (James) of Laurel; and his sisters, Sharon Compton (Lewis) of Florida, Mary Louise Wright of Illinois and Elizabeth Thompson (Joe) of Linton. He is also survived by grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
