He was predeceased by: his father Lenard Thomas; his wife Karen Faye (Bowen); his siblings, Bud Yarnell, Lola Patt, Dorothy Warren, Estelle Patt and Etta Mae Sneed-Parker; and his great grandchildren, Colton and Aubriana Tuttle.
He is survived by: his children, Jack Yarnell, Jr. (Dalenda) of Fairland, Tim Yarnell (Lisa) of Gwynneville and Debra Ford of Beech Grove, Tennessee; his brother Frank Yarnell (Linda) of Heiskell, TN.; his grandchildren, Matthew Yarnell, Grace Yarnell, Gail Pittman (Adam), Brandon Yarnell, Brooke Tuttle (Cody), Alysha Harris and Mika Wallace; and his great grandchildren, Jozelynn Yarnell, Jasmine Yarnell, Blake Pittman, Luke Pittman, Cruz Pittman, Rylan Yarnell and Isaiah Tuttle.
