It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Violet Dekock (Fair Oaks, Indiana), born in Demotte, Indiana, who passed away on January 18, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John DeYoung and Susan DeYoung (Ettema); her husband Ralph A. DeKock; and her son-in-law Michael Rients. She is survived by: her children, Karen Wiseman (Richard), Richard DeKock (Julie) and Diane Spurgeon (John); her grandchildren, Lee Rients (Michelle), Ryan Rients (Taunia), Eric DeKock (Lauren), Brian DeKock, Matthew Spurgeon (Barrett) and Stacy Bradley (Ross); and her siblings, Susie Hamstra, Simon DeYoung, Gene DeYoung, Judy VanderMolen and Rev. Roger DeYoung. She is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren.
