He was predeceased by: his parents, John Dykhuizen and Cornelia Dykhuizen (Smit); his wife Evelyn; and his sisters, Alberdena Hoffman, Martha Hamstra, Marie Hamstra and Margorie.
He is survived by: his children, Dave Dykhuizen, Bernie Dykhuizen (Carolyn), Barb Liersch (Roger), Janet Dykhuizen, Gloria Barrera (Jim) and Ruth Dean (Bill); and his sister Evelyn Koster. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Trinity Presbyterian Church or The Gideons.
