She was predeceased by: her parents, Nelson Pfender and Rosa Pfender (Reel); and her siblings, Maye Wright, Faye Achilles, Ruth Ruff, Patricia "Susie" Pfender, Lawrence, Earl, Harold, Norman, Kenneth, Gene, Bill, Ray and Melvin Pfender.
She is survived by: her close friends, Paul and Betty Creek; her grandchild Candyland; her husband Joe; her children, Cathy Kahre (Jeff) of Wadesville, IN, Russell Gerteisen (Ann) of Newburgh, IN, Julie Myers (Brad) of Brentwood, TN and Diana Everley (Tim) of Evansville, IN.; her grandchildren, Alexandra Earl (Mat), Kelsey Mayfield (Chris), Joey Gerteisen, Blake Myers, Amanda Myers and Sammy Gerteisen; her great grandchildren, Alistair Earl and Jordan Mayfield; and her caregiver Ginny.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, December 28th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A Mass will be held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church (5301 Daylight Dr, Evansville, IN 47725).
