He was predeceased by: his parents, James Vancleave and Esther Vancleave (Luffman); and his sister Clara Jean Gould. He is survived by: his wife Michelle Vancleave (Knight); his daughter Rachel Vancleave; and his brother Jim (family: Diane, Nathan, J. T.).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society and Youth First.
