With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Russell Smith Jr. (Evansville, Indiana), who passed away on March 16, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Smith, Sr. and Annie Lois Boone; his brothers, Earl H. Smith, Jessie R. Smith and Richard Smith; his former wife Mildred; his nephews, Larry Smith, Stanley Smith and Earl Smith; and his niece La Sharon Bankhead.
He is survived by: his daughter Sandra Wilson; his grandchildren, DeAndre D. Wilson of Evansville, IN and Andrea Knox (Dexter); his great grandchild Cameron Knox of Nashville, TN; his stepchildren, Michele Bruce (Derrick) of Crete, IL, Shannon Wytovak (Rogge) and Jeff Stewart (Frances) of Evansville, IN; and his stepgrandchildren, Taylor, Brenna Crossley, Chloe, Lanie Wytovak, Derek and Tyler Stewart. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Ne Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness (2012 Maxwell Ave, Evansville, IN 47711).
