He was predeceased by: his mother Muriel Higgins (Ellingwood); his wife Cheryl Higgins; his siblings, Eloise Goss, Leland "Red" Higgins Jr. and Raymond Higgins; and his grandson Kyle Thomas Weis.
He is survived by: his father Leland Higgins; his daughters, Debbie Girten (Johnny) of Morganfield, KY and Kristine Sullivan of Evansville, IN; and his grandchildren, Jada Wolfe, Wyatt Girten, Travis Girten, Valerie Weis and Elijah Sullivan. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
