With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Matthew Wayne Alvey of Evansville, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 6, 2024 at the age of 53. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Josephine, Philip Alvey, Sr., Valeria and George Yeager, Sr.. He is survived by: his parents, Philip Eugene Alvey, Jr. and Dianna Kay Alvey (Yeager); his wife Christy J. Alvey; his daughter Lindsey Alvey; his stepson Andrew Goins; his sister Julie Calvert (William "Justin"); and his nephews, Kaynin Capps and Kamron Capps (Kaybren).

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
