She was predeceased by: her parents, William Thornton and Hattie Lee Sallee (Jessee); her husband Archie "Art" Cargill; her children, Roberta Simpson and Roger Grissom; her brother Charles Melvin Sallee; and her granddaughter Erika Hogan.
She is survived by: her children, Rita Hood (Bob) of Henderson, KY and Robert Grissom (Marsha) of Guntersville, AL; her grandchildren, Lori White (Jeff), Scott Simpson, Bryan Simpson (Kim) and Todd Simpson (Barb); her great grandchildren, Sara, Kyle, Robert, Justin, Christopher, Leah, Amanda, Andy and Trevor; her niece Sabrina Giomassis (Thomas); and her nephew Chuck Sallee (Debbie).
