He is survived by: his wife Benita Willett; his children, Latisha Howell, John Wayne Willett Jr. and Jonnita Willett; his grandchildren, Julius Fields, Arianna Hampton, Thomas Hampton Jr., Jonae Hampton and Christopher Hampton; his great grandchild Tremonie Hooks; and his siblings, Charles Willett (Faye), Kathryn McKinley and Marsha Pullom (Cliff).
