John Hanes Sr. Obituary

We are sad to announce that on October 17, 2019, at the age of 87, John Hanes Sr. (Evansville, Indiana) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Edward and Julia Pearl Hanes (Ernst); and his brothers, Jack Hanes, Jr., Bill Hanes, Jim Hanes and Pete Hanes.

He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Hanes (Lambert); his children, John Hanes, Jr. (Ann) of Vincennes, IN, Brenda Gail Waters (Gary) of Lincoln, NE and Ronald Hanes (Denise) of Newburgh, IN; his siblings, Fred Hanes and Beverly Ann Hanes; and his grandchildren, Angela Torres (Scott), Chris Hanes (Tempera), Rachel Taylor (Gary), Gary Wayne Waters, Jr. (Angel), Gail Barrowclough (Elliott), Sarah Wilson (Trent), John Waters (Paige), Jill Howard (Nathan) and Tina Adkins (Gabe). He is also survived by 25 great grandchildren.
