She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Louis Bernardin II and Frances Bernardin (McNeely); her sister Mary Alice Bernardin; and her significant other Robert "Bob" Morton. She is survived by: her son Scott Brown (Holly); her grandchildren, Christopher and Sullivan Brown; her daughter Heather McAtee (Brian); and her granddaughters, Kathleen McAtee and Abigail Weatherly (McAtee).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel (800 S Hebron Ave, Evansville, IN 47714). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to organizations supporting addiction recovery or equestrian programs for youth, two causes that Joan held close to her heart.
