She was predeceased by: her parents, George F. James and Maude James (Clarkson); her husband Ted S. Lackey; and her brothers, Wallace James and Nile James.

She is survived by: her children, Larry Lackey of Evansville, IN and Judy Clark (Morris) of Evansville, IN; her grandson Nicholas Leach of Evansville, IN; her niece Pattie Rule (Ray) of Mission, KS; her nephews, Gary James of Springfield, MO, Nile James (Barbara) of Cameron Park, CA and Bryan James (Marcia); and her stepgrandchildren, Darren Clark of Fishers, IN and Melanie Stoddard (Eli) of Fishers, IN. She is also survived by four step great grandchildren; and many other beloved nieces and nephews.
