He was predeceased by: his parents, Victoria Wertz (Howard) and Claude Wertz. He is survived by: his wife Martha Scott Wertz; and his children, James Wertz of Indianapolis, Jennifer Oliver (Dan) of Indianapolis, Katie Wertz (Josh Englebright) of Indianapolis and Melissa Wertz (Jeff Mechishner) of Indianapolis. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel (800 S Hebron Ave, Evansville, IN 47714). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. An entombment will be held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 12:15 PM to 12:45 PM at the Oak Hill Cemetery (1400 E Virginia St, Evansville, IN 47711).
