James Swope Obituary

We are sad to announce that on September 6, 2018, at the age of 84, James Swope (Evansville, Indiana) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonnie Thomas and Goldie Sylvia Emily Thomas; his siblings, George, Thomas Sr., Charles, Dick and Louise Swope; and his granddaughter Lauren Ashley Swope.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Slaughter-Swope; his children, Juanita Green, Natasha Swope, Barbara Tyler, Elder Rondell (Rhonda), Darrell Swope (Denise) and Lonnie Swope; his sisters, Geneva Jenkins and Goldie Outlaw; and his daughter-in-law Konjeta Burkes-Swope. He is also survived by great-grandchildren whom he adored, other extended family members and friends.
