He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Winiger and Mildred Winiger (Steinkamp); and his brothers, Clarence "Bud" Winiger, Lou Winiger and Clyde Winiger.

He is survived by: his daughter Dana; his son-in-law Willie Houchin; his sisters, Mary Massey (Johnny), Betty Orth, Dorothy Whalen (Don), Rita Edwards (Mel) and Martha Hahn (Robin); and his sisters-in-law, Sharon Winiger and Delcie Winiger.
