James A. Kohl Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James A. Kohl of Evansville, Indiana, who passed away on September 3, 2023 at the age of 89. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James A. Kohl to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Pauline N. Kohl and Riffert; his sister Dorothy Goans; his stepmother Emma Kohl (McKinnis); and his great grandchild Leo Willis.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Kohl (Lashley); his children, Julia Hauser (Kent), Karen Melliff (Jeff), Thomas Kohl, Dan Kohl (Paula) and John Kohl (Karin); and his brother Donald Ray Kohl (Judie). He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.
He played clabber in the Clabber Boys Club, which met every Tuesday for over 25 years before stopping due to Covid.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heart to Heart Hospice, Southern Indiana Honor Flight or to the Evansville Cancer Center.
