It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Geneva Steinkuhl of Evansville, Indiana, born in Harviell, Missouri, who passed away on August 20, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Boyd and Bessie Boyd (Bolin); her son Gary Steinkuhl; and her sister Shirley Kinchloe. She is survived by: her daughters, Linda Steinkuhl and Vickie Wallace (Odell); her sister Rose DeVillez; and her grandchildren, Clint Sellers (Dawn), Byron Sellers (Barbara), Lauri Trentman (Chris), Lee Sander (Jamie) and Jacob Steinkuhl (Cara).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Hospital in Memphis, TN or to the Ronald McDonald House.

“Neva, as she was known to us, was like a second mother. Although she was a first cousin she was within 4 years age of our mother. We spent a week or two almost every summer through the summers of our school days. Those days with the Steinkuhl’s were some of the best days of our young lives. After Gary passed away Neva and I became particularly close. She wrote letters and I called her. Her life was full of grace. She embraced aging and subsequent illness with grace. God bless her soul.”
