He was predeceased by: his parents, James "Skeets" Johnson and Mary Frances Johnson Brummell; his stepfather Clarence Brummell; and his sister Cheryl Collins. He is survived by: his son Joshua; his siblings, Kenneth "Ken" Walker (Glender), Sherris Johnson, Torey Suggs (Donald) and Aundria Brummell; his nieces and nephews, Monique Landry (El), Angela Bey (Sharif), KeShay Jones (DeMareo), DeRon Porter, Keland Brummell-Bradshaw, Devin Suggs and Miles Suggs; his great-nieces and great-nephews, DeAuna, DaMya Jones, Assata Bey, Sharif "Shaba" and Siraj "Raji" Bey; and also Saladine Bey. He is also survived by cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the R. Mason Brothers Memorial Chapel (1001 Lincoln Ave, Evansville, IN 47714). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at the Oak Hill Cemetery (1400 E Virginia St, Evansville, IN 47711).
