Though Evelyn Janice may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Evelyn Janice touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Odd Williams and Willie Mae Williams; and her siblings, Joe Williams, Janet Hamm and Marvaline Prince.
She is survived by: her husband James Hayes; her children, Reginald Hayes Kelvin (Debra), Rodrigues Hayes and Felicia Hayes; and her sisters, Jean Brown and Grace Harding. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, as host of nieces, nephews, extended family.
Viewing was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Osborne Funeral Home (702 Gum St, Evansville, IN 47713). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
