She was predeceased by: her parents, Douglas W. Lander and Lillian A. Lander; her brother George (Wanda); her son Raymond Eric "Icky"; her husband James C. Garnett, Sr.; and her daughter Mary.
She is survived by: her children, James Cecil Jr. "Junnie" (Bridgett), Michael Jerome and Ellena of Evansville; and her grandchildren, Valerie Irving of Douglasville, GA, Carlos Garnett, Sr. (Tara), India Pettit, Michoe Johnson (James), Myron Jamal Matthews, Jordan Garnett, Zachary Garnett, Bridjunnie Garnett, Michael Garnett II, Isaiah Garnett and Salena Garnett. She is also survived by twenty-seven great-grandchildren; several great great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the R. Mason Brothers Memorial Chapel (1001 Lincoln Ave, Evansville, IN 47714). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Oak Hill Cemetery (1400 E Virginia St, Evansville, IN 47711).
