She was predeceased by: her mother Dorothy Shafer; her stepfather Harold Shafer; her siblings, Duane Shafer and Shiela Walker; her son-in-law Jim Hart; and her great grandchild Analiese Lindner.

She is survived by: her husband Robert E. East; her children, Cathy Early (Steve), Jennifer Mast (Greg), Susan Hart, Kevin East (Emilie) and Michelle Collins (Dan); her grandchildren, Millicent Frank (Aaron), Emily Shera (Greg), William Mast (Marissa), Kelli Kehler (Jason), Margaret Lindner (Chris), Erin Hart (Dustin), Robert J. East, Alexander East and Cameron Hart; her siblings, Geri Taylor (Fred), Harold Shafer Jr. and James Shafer; and her friend Steve Page.
