She was predeceased by: her parents, Berwyn R. Phipps, Sr. and Elizabeth Nance Phipps (Ozenberger); and her husband Charles Dave Mercer. She is survived by: her children, Ara Beth Nelson-Mercer (Theron), Julia Ann Glover (Terry) and Daniel Dave Mercer (Jana); her grandchildren, Benjamin Theron, Jacob William, Lydia Ann Nelson-Mercer, Kerrick Peyton Gibbs, Griffin James, Ruth Ann and Owen Charles Mercer; and her sister-in-law Rebecca Phipps. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
