We are sad to announce that on September 27, 2024, at the age of 88, Dorothy Gilbert of Evansville, Indiana, born in Bancroft, Nebraska passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid adieu to Dorothy's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Dorothy has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Sam Hallaway and Kaber Hallaway; her sister Lila Hallaway; her daughter Andrea; and her brother Dale.

She is survived by: her husband Jay D. Gilbert.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
