He was predeceased by: his father Robert "Bob" Embry; and his brother James Embry. He is survived by: his mother Patsy Embry (Moutschka); his wife Leta; his children, Melissa (Embry) Goebel (Ed) and Donald Embry, Jr. (Angela); his siblings, Martha Vowels (John), Connie Black (Allen), Bonnie Scott (James) and Rick Embry; and his grandchildren, Victoria "Tori" (Jonathan "Jon" Boerner), Edward, Taylor, Vincent, Samuel, Katherine and Landon (Gabrielle "Bree" Lopez).
