He is survived by: his former wives, Debbie Hart and Carolyn McDaniel; his wife Ping; his children, Crista Schmidt (Eric), Jenny Carter, Sarah Guevara (Juan) and Ashton Carter (Dani); his grandchildren, Jayce Pfister (Kylie) and Lexi Carter; and his brother Pat Carter (Rhonda).
