He was predeceased by: his parents, Levi Cheaney and Sudie Cheaney (Brooks); his siblings, Mary Cheaney, Robert Cheaney, Elmo Cheaney, Rev. Willis Cheaney and Raymond Cheaney; and his son-in-law Flint Douglas.
He is survived by: his children, Camille Douglas, Calbert Cheaney (Yvette) and Elizabeth Watkins (Jesse); his grandchildren, Brandon Douglas, Julian Cheaney, Sydney Cheaney, Jeremiah Watkins and Korie Watkins; and his siblings, Donald Cheaney (Ollie) and Brenda Cheaney. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the R. Mason Brothers Memorial Chapel (1001 Lincoln Ave, Evansville, IN 47714). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at the Oak Hill Cemetery (1400 E Virginia St, Evansville, IN 47711).
