She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Evans and Doris Maxine Evans Dickerson (Shonkwiler); her husband James "Jim" Edward Mears; and her brother Norman Evans. She is survived by: her children, Lydia Fowler (Anthony), Nona Justice (Jeff) and Brad Mears; and her grandchildren, Molly, Maggie Fowler, Reed and Janna Justice. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
