Charles Vinson Gambrel Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Charles Vinson Gambrel of Evansville, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 16, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Vinson and Catherine Gambrel (Owens); his son Kent Gambrel; his brother Larry Gambrel (Brenda); and his in-laws, Galen and Dora Kelley.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Gambrel (Kelley); his children, Barry Gambrel (Kim) and Rhonda Beuligmann (Neal); his siblings, Linda Carol Winternheimer, David Gambrel (Sherri) and Dennis Gambrel (Janet); his brother-in-law Gary Kelley (Cora Lee); and his close friends, Bobby, Frank and Marv. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren with one more on the way, nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Pierre Funeral Home (2601 W Franklin St, Evansville, IN 47712). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
