She was predeceased by: her parents, Emerson Rudolph and Dorothy Mae Lindy (Steinmetz); her former husband Larry Dennis Gates, Sr.; her son Larry "Dennis" Gates, Jr.; and her brothers, Bob Lindy and Ted Lindy.
She is survived by: her husband Mini-Sprints; her daughter Lisa Smith (Gary); her son-in-law Bryan "Turtle" Monroe; her grandchildren, Cory Smith (Cassandra) and Cameron Smith (Madison); her great grandchildren, Chandler Kate Smith and Basil Clark Smith; and her sisters, Ann Hettenbach, Joyce Lindy, Linda Rickard and Sharon Studer.
