She was predeceased by: her parents, Olivia Schlachter and Gilbert Schlachter; her sisters, Doretha (Fred Gabel) and Margaret (Charles Smith); her parents-in-law, Naoma and John Hatfield; and her nieces and nephews, Edna Hatfield, Ruth, Henry Mueller, Jean, Earl Ernst, Elaine Mueller Moore, Kathy Mueller Johnson, John B. Hatfield III and Bruce Hatfield.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Patricia Hagen (Mike), Paul E. Jr. (Betty), David G. (Gail), James M. (Joyce), Daniel H. (Barb) and Jeffrey M. Sr. (Jerri); and her grandchildren, Michael Hagen, Patrick Hagen, Sarah Hagen, Laura Bryant (Michael), Joyce Peters (Jack), Carolyn Hatfield, Ryan Hatfield (Kendra), Chelsea Lernihan (Tom), Spencer Hatfield (Natalie), Daniel J. Hatfield (Macie), Jaime Emig (Craig), Kevin Hatfield (Carrie), Keith Hatfield (Deanna), Katie Tresnowski (Justin), Amy DeArmond (Ryan), Scott Hatfield (Colleen), Jeffrey Hatfield, Jr. (Allison) and James E. Hatfield (Abril). She is also survived by 35 great-grandchildren.
