He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Busby and Mary Frances Sandefur (Toomey); his daughter Veronica "Vicky" Perdue; and his siblings, William Sandefur, Frank Sandefur and Carol Staples.
He is survived by: his children, Cynthia Sandefur of Evansville, IN and Michael Sandefur (Linda) of Evansville, IN; his stepdaughter Donna Derrington (Jesse) of Chandler, IN; his sister Marie Pruitt of Newburgh, IN; and his grandchildren, Jessi Coomer, Christi Norrington, Sarah Perdue, Brian Grossman, Jeremy Forgy and Samantha Williams. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the All Saints Parish St. Joseph Church (600 E Virginia St, Evansville, IN 47711).
