It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Albertha Scott of Evansville, Indiana, born in Spiro, Oklahoma, who passed away on August 24, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Emmett Carter and Gertrude Carter (Armour); her husband James E. Scott, Sr.; and her sister Mary Helen Vasseur. She is survived by: her children, Evelyn Baker (Dennis) and James E. Scott, Jr.; her grandchildren, Melody McKee (Brian) of Tennessee, Mark Anderson of Tennessee, Leslie of Tennessee, Elizabeth Light of Tennessee, Tracy Baker, Kris Baker (Amy) and Misty Payne (Tim) of Newburgh; and her sister Maizell Kloke (Carter).
