He was predeceased by: his parents, Nobel Vaughn and Ruby Velda Brown Vaughn; his son David Vaughn; and his sister Barbara Vaughn. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Braun; his children, Shawn Vaughn of Haubstadt, IN, Ryan Vaughn (Jennifer) of Columbus, IN, Judy Hipp (Tony) of Haubstadt, IN and Melanie Dyer (Dan) of Dugger, IN; his stepchildren, Julie Brauser (Roger) of Evansville, IN and Greg Robinson (Ashley Neighbors) of Santa Claus, IN; his grandchildren, Isaac Lewis, Amelia Dyer, Nevaeh Dyer, Avery Vaughn, Levi Vaughn, Emma Brauser and Violet Vaughn; and his son-in-law Rev. Dan Dyer.

Memorial contributions may be given to the St. John's Lutheran Church Choir, American Diabetes Association or Hospice.
