He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Schulthise and Sophie Nuetzel Schulthise; his stepmother Rosie Schulthise; and his siblings, Robert Schulthise and Dottie Wittman.
He is survived by: his children, Chip Schulthise of Troy, Robert Dio Schulthise (Jean) of Tell City, Tina Gerlach of Troy, Casey Schulthise of Evanston and Duffy Schulthise (Angie) of Evanston; his sister Helen Richardson of Tell City; and his grandchildren, Jason Schulthise, Jered Schulthise, Amber Schulthise, Hannah Schulthise, Kelly Wilkins, Brad Schulthise, Brian Schulthise, Megan Schulthise, Mallory Ewing, Michael Floyd Gerlach, Tapanga Gerlach, Erin Schulthise, Isabella Schulthise, Alex O'brien and Ethan Schulthise. He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
